Go, celebrate the gift of life!

You are currently browsing the Town Fiesta category.

Always colorful, always full of merry-making, always festive: that is the Philippine town fiesta.

Once a year, each town, village, or barangay celebrates its fiesta, usually to honor a patron saint.

It’s that time of the year when people, young and old, don costumes and dance to infectious beat.

It’s that time of the year when pigs are roasted

and served on the table, along with other favorite foods, for everyone to enjoy.

It’s that time of the year when vendors like him get so very lucky with their sales,

because people troop to the streets to watch their favorite drum and bugle corps.

It’s that time of the year when Filipinos who work and live abroad go back to honor their patron saint, renew their identity and strengthen the ties that bind them to the place they will always call home.
